There are no class limits for undergraduate students for the winter term. It is recommended students take no more than two courses. Graduate students may take up to two courses (6 credit hours) during the winter term.
Courses taken during the winter term can serve as a pre-requisite for a course student wishes to take in the spring semester. Please contact your advisor for questions or assistance with scheduling.
On dates the university is closed for year-end holidays, students will have limited support from campus offices. No class activity will occur on December 24, 25, or on January 1.
There is no financial aid available to students for the winter term. We’re committed to doing all that we can to ensure Cumberland is affordable and that we deliver a great educational value. To help offset the cost of tuition, we have discounted the winter term tuition rates by 50%. Undergraduate tuition costs will cost $507 per credit hour, and graduate tuition will cost $585 per credit hour. There will be no additional access fees charged for the winter term. Some course fees may apply. All books and supplies are additional out of pocket expenses.
For questions regarding winter term tuition please contact the Business Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students may order books from the CU Bookstore. The bookstore is open at the beginning and end of each semester and rental orders can be placed online and either shipped to your home, or picked up on campus. Your professors will let the bookstore know which books are required for each course, so you’ll only need to know your course schedule to order your books.
CANVAS is an online course management tool that professors will utilize to display course related content. Some courses may require that you submit assignments through CANVAS or take quizzes or tests. To login, use your student email name (example JSmith12) and your email password. If you have trouble accessing CAMS, Canvas or your student email you can contact IT Support at support.cumberland.edu/portal.

To access CAMS you use your student email and password. If you have trouble accessing CAMS, Canvas or your student email you can contact IT Support at support.cumberland.edu/portal.
The Business Office handles all of the university’s billing, which includes student billing. We’re here to help you pay your CU balance each semester, make payment arrangements, and sign up to receive any future refunds due to you.
Our office is located in Memorial Hall, 1st floor, Suite 109 and our students are always welcome to schedule an appointment to meet with us to discuss their account.
