Master of Sport and Exercise Science

Description

The mission of the Cumberland University Master of Arts with a major in Sport Management program is to prepare students for advanced careers in the sport industry. Graduates in our program will represent an advanced level of skills in Sport Management education as required by key graduate level content areas of the Common Professional Component (CPC) prescribed by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA), a commission of the North American Society of Sport Management (NASSM), as it relates to content for the Master’s level NASSM Standards.

Master of Science in Nursing: Nurse Educator

Description

The online M.S.N. Nurse Educator emphasis is designed to prepare nurses for educational roles in academia, health care organizations, and health care systems. The program prepares you to develop program design, deliver content, and perform formative and summative evaluations techniques.

Master of Science in Nursing: Nurse Executive Leadership and Administration

Description

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Nurse Executive Leadership and Administration emphasis prepares you to pursue roles as a nurse executive in a variety of health care delivery settings. The emphasis focuses on management of finance and operations of healthcare organizations, leading health care innovations, and strategies to respond to health care challenges and trends.

Exercise and Sport Science (3+2)

Description

This program is intended for undergraduate students that are either freshman or transfer students. Upon the successful completion of the 5-year program, the student will earn a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science (BS) and a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT). The Bachelor of Science degree will be granted after successful completion of the fourth year. All students will have completed the general education core and the Exercise and Sport Science major requirements by the end of the third year. The student will apply to the Athletic Training Program the spring of the third year (deadline April 1), and will graduate with the Bachelor of Science before the fall of the fourth year. The remaining 28 credit hours required for the BS degree will be earned through the graduate athletic training courses earned during the fourth year (fall and spring). The fifth year consists of 33 total credit hours (summer, fall, and spring). The MSAT is a two year consecutive program (fall, spring, summer, fall, spring) that requires continuous enrollment.

Exercise and Sport Science

Description

The Cumberland University Exercise and Sport Science program promotes active participation in sport and physical activity across the life span. The program prepares future professionals for careers in fitness/wellness, strength and conditioning, preventative healthcare, graduate programs in EXSS-Exercise Physiology, and pre-professional preparation for other allied healthcare professions such as Physical Therapy or Physician Assistant programs.
