  • Cumberland University is pleased to announce the acquisition of 47 highly collectible paperweights given to the Arts program within the School of Humanities, Education, and the Arts. Mrs. Mary Ruth Kolbe of Madison, Tennessee donated the impressive collection valued at approximately $19,000 at the suggestion of her late husband Bill who passed away in April 2010. A selection of these beautiful works of art will be on display in the Doris and Harry Vise Library on the campus of Cumberland University beginning on Tuesday, April 29. A Reception in honor of Mrs. Kolbe and her family will be held that afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in the Vise Library. Light refreshments will be served.   ...
