Words of Wisdom for our 2020 Graduates

From the March 3rd tornados that ripped through our community, to the global pandemic that halted normal life and sent CU completely online, our seniors have not quite had the final semester they were expecting.

So with that in mind, we asked on our social media platforms for advice to share with our graduating seniors during this time of excitement and uncertainty.

“Embrace every experience that comes your way as an opportunity to become more than you are. Choose to see the potential for learning in every experience, and do not waste energy or your personal power focusing on the negative.”

“Give back to the community and mentor someone. You probably had a mentor in your life that you are forever grateful for.”

“Find comfort in being uncomfortable. Take that opportunity presented to you even if it scares you; you have to leave your comfort zone to grow as an individual.”

“Everything will work out the way it’s supposed to.”

“Every person you come into contact with matters. No matter what, treat them all with the same respect.”

“When choosing your job, make sure that the people you’ll be surrounded by build you up and are going to help you grow towards your next steps.”

“Always remember to say thank you.”

“Take the time to celebrate your accomplishments up to this point before stressing about your future.”

Way to go class of 2020! You did it!
