Information for Employers
Thank you for your interest in Cumberland University students and alumni! The Office of Career Services & Internships provides resources to assist students of all majors with self-assessment, employer and job market information, internships, graduate school preparation, and career management skills. You can connect with our students through online job postings using HireCU, internships, on-campus and virtual recruitment events, and participation in the Nashville Area College to Career Fair.
Cumberland University is a consortium member of the Nashville Area College to Career and Teach Recruitment Fair. For more information on the Nashville Area College to Career Fair, which is usually held in the Spring of each year, please visit www.nashvillefairs.org for further information on dates, location, cost and availability.
While Cumberland participates in the NACCF event, it also welcomes employers to contact the Office of Career Services and Internships to establish opportunities for information sharing, recruitment and advertising of jobs and internships through such programs as HireCU, the Cumberland App and in person.
Cumberland University uses a variety of methods to share opportunities with students. Job and Internship positions are posted through the Cumberland University college app, emailed to professors and students, advertised in newsletters, and posted on the employment CSM product, HireCU program. For employers already engaged in that program, job and internship openings can be posted through their account and connect with Cumberland University. Employers not affiliated with HireCU may submit information regarding their opportunities to Career Services and Internships to be posted.
Employers can access an already existing HireCU account here.
To post a position to be advertised for Cumberland students and alumni, please complete the Position Posting Request Form here.
Cumberland University adheres to guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Labor regarding Internship Programs and the Fair Labor Standards Act. For more information regarding these regulations, click here.
