Step 2: Complete the FAFSA Application
The FAFSA, Free Application for Student Aid, is used to determine if you are eligible for federal, state, school or even private financial aid. By completing the FAFSA, you’re able to apply for federal and state grants, loans and work studies, as well as school and private scholarships. Basically, the FAFSA is your first step for receiving monetary assistance for your entire college career. Make certain to have your FAFSA sent to Cumberland University. School code: 003485
Step 3: Apply for CU Scholarships
93% of our students receive some kind of grant and or scholarship? This means, we have a variety of financial aid options available to help you make your college education more affordable. We help you understand your options and maximize the financial opportunities available to you.
Step 4: Review and Accept your Aid
Once your financial aid files are complete and you qualify for aid, you’ll receive notice of your award in the mail. Your Financial Aid Award Letter will detail the aid you qualify for. You may accept or decline the different sources of aid in your financial aid package. Should you decline any portion of your financial aid package, the university will not replace the source with monies from other programs. To accept your financial aid award you need to sign and return all the requested documents to the Office of Financial Aid.
