One of the most popular ways for students to fund their education is by receiving scholarships. Researching scholarships can be a tedious process, which is why we compiled a list of nursing scholarships that CU nursing students can apply for throughout the year. Each scholarship has various criteria and deadlines that make financial aid accessible to every kind of nursing student. 

  • Dashanna K. McNeil Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship exists to honor the life of healthcare hero, Dashanna McNeil, and to support those who share her commitment to the field of nursing through their studies and pending careers. 3 winners will be awarded $1,050.   • WiseGeek Nursing No-Essay Scholarship – The WiseGeek Nursing No-Essay Scholarship is designed to support students dedicated to providing equitable healthcare opportunities for all people across the nation. Click here to learn more about this scholarship and apply.
  • Healthy Living Scholarship – Any US citizen or permanent legal resident and passionate about health and wellness may apply for this scholarship. Click here to learn more about this scholarship and apply.
  • First-Gen in Health & Medicine Scholarship – This annual scholarship is open to all high school, undergraduate, or graduate students who are planning to pursue or who are currently pursuing a degree and career in healthcare or the medical field.   • Nurses Make a Difference Scholarship – Each year, Cascade Healthcare Solutions offers a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse. In order to apply, students must submit an essay in which they detail the impact that they hope to make as a nurse. Click here to learn more about this scholarship and apply.
  • Geraldine Polly Bednash Scholarships – These scholarships are awarded quarterly, and are open to all students admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program. They are funded by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the national voice for academic nursing. Every three months, 2 nursing students are awarded $5,000 scholarships.   • Vicki Sartin’s Purpose in Nursing Scholarship – This scholarship is intended specifically for single mothers pursuing a nursing degree.   • TYLENOL® Future Care Scholarship – Each year the makers of TYLENOL® award annual scholarships to well deserving students pursuing careers in healthcare. The deadline to apply is July 1, 2022. Click here to learn more about this scholarship and apply.
  • Nurse Corps Scholarship Program – See if you’re eligible for the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Nurse Corps Scholarship Program.
