Mini Mozarts Sing and Play Together

7/29/2015

Cumberland University’s Arts Academy is pleased to announce its newest program for preschool and younger children: Mini Mozart’s Sing and Play Together. “Sing and Play Together” is a parent-child family class that provides a wonderful introduction to the joy and love of music. With a focus on development of the whole child, this energetic and engaging experience will use activities such as singing, movement, instruments, rhymes, fingerplays, creative play, and drama. The Mini Mozarts’ curriculum is based on the approaches/methodologies of Orff, Kodaly, and Suzuki. Whether you’re a parent or caregiver, enjoy this special one-on-one time with your child or children as you explore concepts such as steady beat, rhythm, pitch development, locomotor movement, listening skills, self-control, and social skills. We will be holding 2 sessions beginning this fall, each eight weeks in length. This wonderful program is being taught by one of Cumberland’s own Alum – Ms. Amy Walworth. For more information concerning the class, please contact Ms. Molly Agee at magee@cumberland.edu or you can visit the website at: http://www.cumberland.edu/professional-dev/arts-academy/mini-mozarts for more information.
