Mr. William Perkins Freeman, a lifelong friend and former student of Cumberland University, established this scholarship at Cumberland University. The award is need-based and given to a student from Robertson or Sumner Counties in Tennessee. Recipient shall have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale.
