This scholarship is available to a Cumberland University junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipient must display a balanced, well-rounded academic and extracurricular educational experience as well as a yearning for knowledge and awareness of his/her chosen area of study. Mr. Young was a former member of the history faculty at Cumberland University and previously served as Academic Dean of the institution.
