Tyler McChurch Memorial Scholarship

Description:

Established by Mr. and Mrs. Dan McChurch and family, in memory of their son, Tyler, who lost his life in a tragic car accident at the age of 29. Tyler was a standout student athlete for the Bulldog football team and graduated from Cumberland University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2007. This award will support Wilson County, Tennessee high school graduates who demonstrate life skills that best resemble and represent Tyler. Recipients should have a goal-oriented personality, a determination to succeed, and character traits that reflect leadership and cooperation. The scholarship decision will not focus solely on academic merit, but will take into consideration other marks of student excellence including involvement in athletics, extracurricular activities, school organizations, and school functions. In addition, spirituality will also be a major consideration in evaluating applications for this award.
