Stephen Heydel Memorial Scholarship
Restrictions: Recipients must be a student pursuing either an undergraduate or graduate degree in Theater. Scholarship recipients must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Priority consideration for this scholarship will be US Military Personal (Active Duty, Reserve or Veterans). The student recipient may receive the Scholarship for a maximum of six (6) semesters.

The Stephen Heydel Memorial Scholarship was established through a generous donation from his family. Stephen Heydel or “Steve” as he was known, attended both Cumberland University and the University of Tennessee where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Additionally, he attended the University of Tennessee Law School. Steve had a passion for acting and theater, performing as a student in Cumberland productions and after graduation in the local community theater. He also had an avid interest in British and European History.
