The wills of the late Nina Mae and Charles Ballard Weatherly have established a trust fund to provide scholarships for students majoring in primary and/or secondary education who would not be able to attend or remain at the University without financial assistance. The recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA. Mr. and Mrs. Weatherly were long-time residents of Wilson County, Tennessee. Mrs. Weatherly was a former teacher, principal and central office supervisor in the Wilson County School System. Mr. Weatherly was a retired employee of the Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation and a real estate agent.
