Monty and Pace Pope Scholarship for History and International Students

Description:

Established by Mrs. Pace Pope and her husband, the late Mr. Monty Pope, this award will support students majoring in history and/or students who are classified as international students. The Popes were longtime employees of Cumberland University working in admissions and our history program and this award celebrates their loyal years of service to the university. Recipients should have financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. Initial awards should be made to incoming freshmen with a minimum GPA of 3.00. The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years if a GPA of 2.75 is maintained. Applicants must submit an essay on why this scholarship support is needed.
