Gwendolyn McFarland Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Gwendolyn McFarland, an enthusiastic supporter of the fine arts in Wilson County, Tennessee. Mrs. McFarland’s special love for Cumberland University continues through the annual awarding of the scholarship. This award will be given to a declared Fine Arts major. The recipient must have an ACT composite score of 20 with a 3.0 High School GPA. Current undergraduate student applicants must have a GPA of 3.0. This scholarship may be renewed if the recipient maintains full-time status and a 3.0 GPA. Mrs. McFarland was the widow of Dr. Sam McFarland, a long-time physician who practiced in Lebanon, Tennessee.
