Description:

The recipient must be a full-time student majoring in elementary education with a minimum GPA of 3.0, partially or wholly self-supporting, and in need of financial assistance. Additionally, the recipient must display a balanced, well-rounded academic and extracurricular educational experience. Mr. Martin, a 1939 graduate of Cumberland University, was an educator and farmer and was deeply devoted to education throughout his life.
