Dr. Tanya King-Paige began at Cumberland Fall of 2022. I am teaching Foundations of Nursing and a clinical rotation of Adult Health 1 students.  I have a career that has spanned almost 40 years.  I have done all types of critical care nursing as well as Peds/Adult Cardiac Cath lab at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for almost 15 years. I most recently opened a Centralized Telemetry Monitoring Unit at Saint Thomas West. We monitored over 500 patients per day in three different hospitals.

After completing my DNP in 2021, I always dreamed of becoming a nursing instructor. I am very happy to be here and see my students flourish. I want them to soar like eagles when they complete the program.  I am a member of the International Nursing Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee Black Nurses Association, and the Tennessee Nurses Association. I am originally from New York. I moved to Tennessee 17 years ago.

I will be newly married next month. I have three grown children. One of which is also a nurse. I also have two grandchildren. I enjoy traveling, cooking and bowling.
