A native of Nashville, Tenn., Ross Fleming joins Cumberland out of Howard University in Washington, DC – where he was a head manager for the Bison men’s basketball program. At Howard, he was a part of the 2018-19 squad which made its first postseason appearance since 1992 when it competed in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) event. Fleming assisted in the player development for several All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference selections, including an Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American and a pair of MEAC Players of the Year.

Fleming spent the 2020-2021 college basketball season as the Video Coordinator for the UT Martin Skyhawks. In that season, He worked on film breakdown and accurately maintained statistical analysis for individual players and the team.

In the summer of 2021, Fleming returned to Nashville and joined the Boys Basketball Staff at Battle Ground Academy as an Assistant Coach. Since joining the program at BGA, he has helped to rebuild the program. In two seasons on staff, the program saw success on all levels (Varsity, JV, 9th) and put the program in position to be successful in future seasons. Fleming had a helping hand in developing several all-district players including the 2023 District MVP and Mr. Basketball Nominee.

Before Cumberland, Fleming had stints with PSB Nashville and EAB Tennessee AAU Programs.

Fleming earned his bachelor’s degree in human performance from Howard University in 2020 and his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Belmont University in 2023.
