B.S.N., Jacksonville State University

I was born in Ashland, Kentucky and I have lived in numerous states growing up. I attended college at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and graduated college from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

I always knew I wanted a career that focused on people and nursing gave me that opportunity. I started working as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Helen Keller Hospital after graduating and I have loved that area of nursing. In 2003, my husband and I moved to TN because of a work promotion for my husband.

I started working at Summit Medical Center in Labor and Delivery. I have also worked in the Lactation department and Same Day Surgery. I am certified in BLS and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. I currently work at First Steps as a nurse consultant.

I reside in Mount Juliet, TN with my husband and daughter that attends Lipscomb University. I enjoy reading, crafting, traveling, and spending time with my family.
