Eddie was born and raised in Lebanon, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Lebanon High school, as well as Cumberland College, the University of Texas Permian Basin, and Middle Tennessee State University. He is licensed by the state as a Senior Psychological Examiner. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling wherein, he completed his thesis on the effects of divorce on children. Eddie has also received his PhD in Industrial-Organizational.

Psychology with a specialization in Leadership and Coaching. His past employment history includes community mental health, seven years at a state psychiatric hospital conducting court-ordered evaluations, and eight years as Associate Dean for Clinical Services at Bethel University. During his clinical career, Eddie was invited to join a team of practice-management consultants in Virginia Beach, Virginia where he conducted in-office consultations all over the United States, including seminars on a variety of business topics.

His current interests include combining his clinical career with new roles in executive coaching. Eddie is married to Joanne Christian who is also a licensed professional counselor in the area. Together, they have one cockapoo named Bogey. In their free time they enjoy golf, other sporting events, and trips to the beach. After being away for many years, Eddie is excited to be back home and part of the Cumberland staff.
