JULIAN LUCUMI VILLEGAS
Back to All FacultyJulian Lucumi enters his first season as the Cumberland Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach in 2023.
Lucumi played his senior season at Cumberland after transferring from Belmont University. He started in eight games and appeared in 16 as a defender. He scored five goals, fourth-best on the team, to help Cumberland to the 2018 Mid-South Conference Championship and an NAIA National Tournament appearance.
After his playing days, Lucumi started coaching and working at Belmont’s Men’s Soccer Camps assisting with preparation for training. From there, he went on to coach at Barca Academy in Nashville where he coached two teams per season. He provided administrative support to the academy and created playing schedules for the club.
Lucumi served as a volunteer assistant here at Cumberland during the 2021 season working under coach Adam Grant and Shane Keely at the time. Lucumi analyzed the GPS information on the players after matches and also assisted with recruiting efforts.
In 2022, Lucumi worked as an assistant coach at Ensworth High School assisting with both the varsity boys and girls teams. He also worked as a Facility Operations Manager for the Nashville Soccer Club and spent time at Nashville United Soccer Academy.
Lucumi earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Cumberland University in May 2019 and went on to get a Master’s Degree of Sport Administration from Belmont in May 2022.

Back to All FacultyJoshua McMillan is entering his first season as the Cumberland University Head Cross Country Coach in 2023.
McMillan spent four years in Robertson County, Tennessee as Head Cross Country Coach and Head Track Coach at East Robertson High School. During his time, the program had one or two state qualifiers each year for cross country, and a state qualifier for discus. In 2020, McMillan began the cross-country program at Green Hill High School and also was the Assistant Track Coach (throws).
During the first year of cross country, both the boys and girls made state. The boys finished 12th and the girls team finished 17th. The boys team finished 12th again in 2021. For 2022, the boys team finished 6th in the state while the girl’s finished 13th. In track, he had two.
Originally from Sterlington, Louisiana, McMillan graduated from Henderson State University in 2008 with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. He spent the first seven years of his career teaching elementary and middle school. Moving to the high school level in 2016. In 2019, McMillan graduated with a Masters degree in Computer Science & Qualitative Methods with a focus in Mathematics from Austin Peay State University.
He is also a USA Track and Field Level 2 Throws Coach.
TODD MCCALL
Back to All FacultyTodd and his wife recently relocated to Middle Tennessee from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He previously served 25+ years teaching 8th grade American History. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where he earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts and earned a teaching certification from Millersville State University.
In Todd’s free time he enjoys writing music, hiking, and attending basketball games as a retired head coach. He looks forward to mentoring future students at Cumberland University.
DAVIA SULLIVAN
Back to All FacultyDavia Sullivan is a lifelong Lebanon native and a second-generation alum of Cumberland University. She joined the Vise Library staff in the fall of 2022 as a library assistant. Prior to joining the Vise Library, she received both her A.A. and B.A. at Cumberland University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a major in General Studies and a minor in History.
She is also a member of Phi Gamma Mu honor society. Currently, she is acquiring her master’s degree
from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in Information Sciences.
Davia can be found writing fictional stories, watching Marvel films, listening to rock music,
reading books of all genres, or spending time with her family and cats in her free time.
