Cumberland University announced today its first annual giving campaign, Rise Together. This campaign focuses on supporting crucial opportunities and resources that will have a lasting impact on current and future students and the university as a whole.
Rise Together is the university’s first annual giving campaign, and has a working goal of $900K. The campaign will be ongoing, and will coincide with the university’s fiscal year, which runs June to May each year.
“At Cumberland, we believe in providing a quality education to students from all backgrounds,” said University President Dr. Paul C. Stumb. “We strive to eliminate the many barriers associated with a college degree, including providing tuition subsidies to more than 90% of our students, to ease the financial barriers of higher education.”
“In order to continue financially supporting our students at this level, a successful annual giving campaign is crucial,” continued Stumb. “The Rise Together campaign will provide tuition assistance for deserving students, and help to provide them with the resources necessary to succeed during their time at Cumberland and beyond.”
Annual gifts to the university through the Rise Together campaign are vital to fulfilling the university’s mission of providing a contemporary liberal arts education to students seeking a high-quality personalized college experience. Annual funds provide flexible resources to support the university’s top priorities, including maintaining access to important academic resources, such as research databases, instructional technology, tutoring and counseling services. These funds are also used to attract and retain faculty and staff, fund student organizations and ensure students have access to academic advisors and career counseling services.

The inaugural Rise Together campaign will aim to raise $900K by May 31, 2022.
