Cumberland University recently launched its Rise Together annual giving campaign for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. This ongoing campaign is intended to bridge the gap between tuition and operating costs. Rise Together emphasizes the continual need for faculty, staff, alumni and the community to rally together to provide crucial opportunities and resources that have a lasting impact on both current and future Phoenix.

Now in its second year, the 2022 campaign has a goal of $1 million and will strive to surpass the $950,000 that was raised last fiscal year.

“The outpouring of support for our Cumberland Family is truly remarkable,” said Cumberland University President Dr. Paul C. Stumb. “All gifts have a big impact on our students and their success that spans far beyond the classroom. We strive to eliminate as many barriers associated with a college degree as possible, which is why our university offers tuition subsidies to over 99% of our undergraduate students.”

Annual funds raised provide flexible resources that support the university’s top priorities including improving technological infrastructures, offering additional access to research databases and career and counseling services. Additionally, annual giving supports student organizations and aids faculty and staff retention. Annual gifts through Rise Together are important in fulfilling the university’s mission of providing a contemporary liberal arts education to students seeking a high-quality, personalized college experience.
