Cumberland University Announces the Return of Notes for Nurses Fundraiser

Cumberland University announced the highly-anticipated Notes for Nurses fundraiser will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 in Alumni Hall. Proceeds from this event support scholarships for students in Cumberland University’s Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions.

Since the inaugural event in 2013, Notes for Nurses quickly became the most popular and successful fundraising event for the Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions. In its first seven years, the event hosted more than 2,300 guests and raised over $488,000 for nursing scholarships and new simulation equipment.

“The Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions has been incredibly grateful for the generous support of the Wilson County community for previous Notes for Nurses events, and we are thrilled that we are now able to bring it back following the pandemic,” said Dean of the Rudy School, Dr. Mary Bess Griffith.

As many people learned during the pandemic, the need for highly qualified and compassionate nursing professionals has never been greater. The support garnered through Notes for Nurses allows Cumberland to prepare students to cultivate the nurses and healthcare professionals of tomorrow.

After a five-year hiatus, Notes for Nurses returns with dinner, a live auction, dancing, and entertainment provided by “Soul Incision,” a talented group of musicians who are also medical professionals.

Tickets for the event are now available at www.notesfornurses.com for $125 per person. Table sponsorships for 8 guests are $1,000 ($1,250 for VIP tables).
