The seventh annual Tyler McChurch Memorial Golf Tournament and Auction will take place at Pine Creek Golf Course on June 18 and on the Lebanon Square on June 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

This is the first year the golf tournament and auction will take place on separate dates. The auction will take place in the town square the day after the sold-out Pine Creek Golf Tournament. 

The auction is open to anyone and bidders can participate virtually or in person through the Click Bid website https://cumberlanduniversity.cbo.io from now until 3 p.m. on June 19. Auction items from Tia’s Boutique, Juice Bar, American Jewelry Company and more will be displayed in the quad near Iddy & Oscar’s. The neighborhood restaurant Town Square Social will be open during the auction as well as the food trucks: Fried Green Tomatoes, Kona Ice and Yia-Ghee’s Tea Party. Live music from local musician Lain Tomlinson will begin at 10 a.m. and Nashville singer-songwriter Jordan Umbach will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Created in memory of Cumberland Alum Tyler McChurch who lost his life in a tragic car accident at age 29, the Tyler McChurch Memorial Auction and Golf Tournament raises vital funds to support Cumberland University athletics, youth sports programs throughout Wilson County, Empower Me and the Tyler McChurch Memorial Scholarship at Cumberland University. The McChurch family watched their son’s character and skills develop throughout his time in athletic programs and hope to make the same possible for other students through the memorial endowment fund.
