Cumberland University has four of the highest ranked programs in the nation, according to two organizations that rank schools according to several criteria including value. The rankings were released by BestValueSchools.com and Sport-Management-Degrees.com, two popular resources that college-bound students and parents rely on when researching colleges to attend.

In all, Cumberland University has five programs ranked nationally. The programs are: Health and Human Performance (No. 13 in student satisfaction), Sports Management (No. 30 in most affordable selective college), Criminal Justice and Public Administration (No. 32 in value and affordability), Business Administration (No. 46 in small campus quality, selectivity, and affordability), and Biology (No. 47 in value and affordability).

“I am extremely proud of Cumberland’s degree programs and the outstanding faculty that are the drivers behind them.” said Dr. Paul Stumb, president of the university. “The fact that our programs are recognized by these organizations is gratifying, but for future students, knowing that our programs are affordable, relevant and will connect them to exciting careers is even more valuable”.

The rankings are based on quantitative and qualitative measures, including job placement success and preparedness, student/faculty ratio, student population size, admissions rate, secure investment, and cost of attendance. All data are collected, analyzed, and made available by College Navigator, a subset of the National Center for Education Statistics.
