Baseball Dinner & Auction Feb. 18


Cumberland baseball will host its annual Kickoff Dinner and Auction at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 18 in the Benton Jennings Center on the CU campus. The evening includes a silent and live auction of baseball memorabilia as well as other donated items, with all proceeds benefiting the CU baseball program.

Cumberland will honor former player Pat Swallows (1965-66), who graduated from Middle Tennessee before returning to his hometown of Livingston, Tenn., where he began the baseball program at Livingston Academy and coached for 36 seasons. In 1991 Swallows started the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association to help baseball coaches have a voice with the TSSAA.
