Student Email
Cumberland uses email as the official and primary method of communication with students. As a student, you are expected to check your university email address frequently and respond to emails from professors and staff in a timely manner. Checking your email regularly will also ensure that you do not miss any important campus announcements or events.
CU uses Google Apps for Education for email and cloud based storage for all students and employees. To activate your student email visit gmail.com and login with your Cumberland credentials. Make sure you use students.cumberland.edu after your username. Example: phoenix@students.cumberland.edu
Email can be accessed from either on or off campus by going to gmail.com and entering your full email address and your Cumberland password using the same formats.
You can access your account from any device supported by Google. Most mobile devices now come with a Google account type already installed. To add your email, calendar and contacts to a mobile device, simply add an email account using the Google account type and log into your account with your full email address and your password. If a Google account type is not available on your device, you may need to download the Gmail app from your app store.
