Alumni support draws in $500,000 donation for building and facilities fund

Lebanon, Tenn. – Cumberland University received a $500,000 donation from an anonymous Cumberland Alumnus in support of future on-campus living facility.

“We appreciate the generous contributions that help us advance our mission to enhance the Cumberland experience for our students and community,” said Vice President for Advancement, Scott Lawrence. “Gifts such as this, to our general building and facilities fund, are instrumental in developing and expanding our campus.

University President, Dr. Paul Stumb is grateful for the generous gift.

“I’m deeply moved by this generous donation. These are truly exciting times for our University, and I’m grateful our alumni share our vision of the future. As we continue to transform and make positive changes to our campus, I’m thankful for the faithful and generous support of all our financial donors.”

While some projects have their own funding initiatives, the general buildings and facilities fund assists in providing the financial means necessary to maintain and renovate existing structures and build new ones.
