  • Register for rising phoenix day

    Rising Phoenix Day is always an exciting time at Cumberland University. During this on-campus visit, you’ll meet with your faculty advisor, confirm your student email and portal access, get your student essentials, meet with the Office of Financial Aid and Student Services.

  • Pay your enrollment deposit

    ​​Freshman must submit their $35 non-refundable enrollment deposit online through your student portal by August 1, 2024 for Fall 2024.

  • Apply for financial aid

    Submit the FAFSA by June 1 for Fall 2024 applicants. The FAFSA, Free Application for Student Aid, is used to determine if you are eligible for federal, state, school or even private financial aid. By completing the FAFSA, you’re able to apply for federal and state grants, loans and work studies, as well as school and private scholarships. Basically, the FAFSA is your first step for receiving monetary assistance for your entire college career. Make certain to have your FAFSA sent to Cumberland University. School code: 003485

  • Submit your housing application

    Our campus features five residence halls that offer a variety of living options and experiences to support you throughout your academic career. Residential students enjoy walking to class, academic support services, dining, and athletics facilities. CU requires freshmen students to live on campus unless they receive documented exemption from the Office of Residence Life. To apply visit Cumberland.edu/residence-life.

  • Apply for scholarships

    There are a variety of ways you can pay for your college education and receive financial assistance. We award over $300,000 in private and endowed scholarships every year. Be sure to apply July 1 at Cumberland.edu/scholarships.

  • Submit final transcripts & documentation

    After graduation, all high school seniors should request that their school counselors send an official final transcript which reflects their graduation date. All high school seniors who completed AP/IB/CLEP exams or who were dually enrolled at a college/university should request their scores/transcripts be mailed to:

  • Attend new student orientation

    Orientation is scheduled to kick off on August 23. This is a mandatory three-day experience packed with information, community connections, and fun!

    During Orientation, you’ll meet other new students and attend short informational sessions that will prepare you to rise and succeed while you’re a student at CU. More information will be shared in the coming months.

    Your parents/guardians are invited to participate and learn pertinent information about your next steps into higher education.
