Starks Family Scholarship

This scholarship benefits high school graduates in Robertson, Sumner and Warren Counties. The Starks Family Scholarship fund was established by Wayne and Stella Starks to honor Wayne’s parents, Odell and Esterlene Starks, and Stella’s mother, Tennie Mae Floyd. A graduate of White House High School and Cumberland University, Wayne Starks is a member of the university’s Board of Trust and the Cumberland Sports Hall of Fame. Starks is an entrepreneur and attributes his success to his upbringing in Middle Tennessee and studies at Cumberland University. “Stella and I both grew up there, as did our parents and many other members of our family. Even though we now live in Columbus, Ga. and Amelia Island, Fla., we want to give something back to the place that gave us so much.”
