Cumberland University is committed to cultivating a campus environment that is inclusive of all students, faculty, and staff. To this end, Cumberland University seeks to ensure an awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of the diversity of the campus by creating educational opportunities, raising awareness, and providing strategies and tools to foster an inclusive environment and inspire a spirit of unity.

Mission

A Diversity Office will increase access to higher education by advocating for members of our community and emphasizing the importance of diversity in promoting learning and development at Cumberland University. Our commitment to equity and diversity is the shared responsibility of students, staff, and faculty, and must be supported and guided by all levels of leadership.

It is an honor to have the opportunity to continue to change the lives of our Phoenix Family. I am a recent graduate of Cumberland University. During my time at Cumberland, I was a Football player, Futuro member, President to Best Buddies and Omicron Delta Kappa, President’s Ambassador and Criminal Justice Member.
