To this end, Cumberland University seeks to ensure an awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of the diversity of the campus by creating educational opportunities, raising awareness, and providing strategies and tools to foster an inclusive environment and inspire a spirit of unity.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are recognized as core institutional values that drive decision making, resource allocation, and the development of policies and practices.
Diverse students, faculty, and staff are recruited, retained, and supported
Collaborative internal and external partnerships support the emerging needs of students, staff, faculty, and communities in which we live and work.
