Veronica Minsky began at Cumberland University in fall of 2016 and teaches courses in the mathematics and information technology (IT) programs. Mrs. Minsky’s prior experiences include teaching computer science courses at Vanderbilt University and secondary mathematics in Wilson County. She has taught undergraduate courses in College Algebra, Basic Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Structure of the Real Number System and Discrete Mathematics as well as Computer Science courses in C, C++, Java, Data Structures and System Architecture. Mrs. Minsky holds a Master’s of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee Space Institute (1990) with an additional 18 hours in mathematics from Emporia State University. Her undergraduate degree is from The University of Michigan with a major in Linguistics. Mrs. Minsky has also served on the Academic Integrity Board at Cumberland University since December 2016 and the General Education Curriculum committee since January 2017. She is interested in Neural Networks and topics in Data Science.
