Scott Walters is originally from southern Arkansas where he lived until moving to Wilson County in 2009. He lives in Lebanon with his wife, Emily, and their four children. 

Dr. Walters earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Harding University (Search, AR) in 2005 and began as a high school English teacher that same year. In 2008 he went on to earn a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. In 2011 he began his administrative career as an assistant principal at Mt. Juliet High School and became the Executive Principal of Lebanon High School in 2015, where he is still employed full-time. In May of 2017 he earned his Ph.D. in Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands and has been serving as an adjunct professor in the English and Education departments at Cumberland University since the Fall 2017 semester.
