Lee Austin began teaching at Cumberland University in fall of 2014 and teaches courses in the Music program. He currently teaches the Music Listening and Sight Singing and Ear Training courses, and he directs both the University Concert Band and the University Jazz Ensemble. He has given private instruction on both piano and electric bass. In addition to his teaching duties, he serves as the accompanist for the University Singers, the Cumberland Chorale, and student soloists. In his time at Cumberland University, Mr. Austin has taught undergraduate courses in Class Piano, Fundamentals of Music, and Introduction to Music Technology.

Mr. Austin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music with an emphasis on piano performance.  He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Fine Arts, where he studied music with an emphasis on electric bass.
