Kortney has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University, where she played and was captain for the indoor volleyball team. In her professional career, she has taught at four universities in strength and conditioning, exercise physiology, nutrition, and biomechanics. For eight years, she worked at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) as a Senior Sports Scientist, where she serviced and conducted research on GSSI’s collegiate and elite partners in hydration, nutrition, and recovery. Kortney is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, certified in Functional Movement Screening Level 1 and 2 and in Functional Capacity Screening.
In her downtime, Kortney enjoys playing sand volleyball, reading, lifting, exploring her new home of Nashville, and spending time with her friends and dog, Milo.
