Mrs. Kelcey Flagg was appointed the role as the Lab Coordinator for the Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions in the fall of 2021 and became a didactic faculty member in 2022.  Before her role at Cumberland, Mrs. Flagg began her nursing career in 2017 as a postpartum nurse for West Tennessee Healthcare System in Jackson, TN. There, she also floated within various unis, such as Pediatrics, Neonatal ICU, Women’s Surgical, and Medical-surgical. Within a year of working for West Tennessee Healthcare, she was appointed as one of the charge nurses and preceptors for the postpartum unit.

In 2018, Mrs. Flagg decided to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing to fulfill her passion for education. In December of 2019, she graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing Education degree from Union University.

In January of 2020, she was appointed the role as an Adjunct Faculty member at Union University, where she provided clinical teaching for the accelerated and traditional B.S.N. students. After getting married in June of 2021, Mrs. Flagg moved to Murfreesboro, TN with her husband, where she now resides. Her goal as an educator is to create a learning environment that is positive, considers different learning styles, and encourages students to share and build upon their knowledge.
