Dr. Patton earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Centre College in 1995, a Masters in International Relations from Troy State University in 1997, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2019. She has 20 years of military service as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force with multiple overseas tours to Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Thailand, Spain, Turkey, and Germany. She was commander and director of operations of a 200-member intelligence unit, and is currently serving as IMA to the Division Chief of Multi-Domain/ISR on Air Staff, Pentagon, in Washington, D.C. She also holds the International Coach Federation Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential and is certified to offer the EQ-i 2.0® & EQ 360® Emotional Intelligence assessment. She is the owner of Joy Patton, LLC, a personal coaching business that specializes in using emotional intelligence to help clients build inner strength and confidence.
