Eddie Lovin began at Cumberland University in fall of 2010 as the Director of Residence Life. In the fall of 2015, he assumed the role of Executive Director of Enrollment Services. Within the Enrollment Services Division, he oversees all aspects of admissions, financial aid, and recruitment activities for the University. Prior to arriving at Cumberland, Mr. Lovin served as a Residence Life Coordinator for five years at Maryville College, where he served as chair of the Staff Council in his final two years. In addition to his residence life and enrollment experience, he has experience in academic advising for athletics from the University of Mississippi, having advised several top NFL draft prospects and free agents during their college days.
Mr. Lovin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice administration and a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education and Student Personnel from the University of Mississippi. In the fall of 2016 he graduate from Cumberland University with a Masters of Business Administration degree. Mr. Lovin is in the final stages of completing his doctorate in education from Tennessee State University. He and his wife, Brandi, live in Lebanon with their dog, Jasper, who himself is a fixture on campus.
