Dr. Elizabeth Cooper, MSN, DNP, RN came to Cumberland University Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions in the Fall of 2019. She has been a nurse educator for the last 7 years and has taught a variety of nursing courses in ASN, BSN, and MSN programs at Aquinas College, Marian University, and South College. Dr. Cooper was a former adjunct instructor for the Cumberland University Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions. Besides teaching nursing, she also serves in the Tennessee Air National Guard as the Chief Nurse.

Dr. Cooper received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University in May 2011, Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in December 2007 with a concentration in Health Systems Management, and her  Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in December 2001. Dr. Cooper’s clinical practice includes staff nurse in the intensive care unit, staff nurse in the medical/surgical unit, charge nurse, preceptor, assistant nurse manager, and case management.

Dr. Cooper holds membership in American Nurses Association, Tennessee Nurses Association, National League for Nursing, and the Iota Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
