Josh Qualls is from Pine Bluff, Ark., comes to Cumberland University after one year as an offensive graduate assistant at Middle Tennessee State University and two years as an offensive assistant coach at Arkansas-Monticello.
In his first season with MTSU, Qualls was an offensive graduate assistant that worked directly under Coach Brent Dearman. He coached H-Backs, and Tight Ends and assisted with the Quarterbacks. MTSU finished the season with a 7-6 record and Qualls helped contribute to the Blue Raiders winning the 2021 Bahamas Bowl.
Before his coaching days, he played collegiately as a quarterback for four years at Arkansas Tech University.
Qualls went on to graduate from Arkansas Tech in 2017 with a degree in Rehabilitation Science. He earned a masters of physical education and coaching from Arkansas-Monticello in 2021.
