![]() Friends of Music & the Arts is a special initiative of Cumberland University's School of Music & the Arts. Its purpose -- to stimulate appreciation and participation in the arts among our students and in the community. Friends enhances Cumberland University's role in providing educational and performance opportunities in the arts -- including dance, art, music, and theatre. Along with the Cumberland University Fine Arts Council (CUFAC), Friends also encourages support for the school's academic program, arts and music scholarships and the maintenance and expansion of the June and Bill Heydel Fine Arts Center and the Edward E. and Gemma Gause Adams Gallery. ![]() Heydel Fine Arts Center Events supported by CUFAC and Friends of Music & the Arts include: Great Performers Series, art exhibits in the Edward E. and Gemma Gause Adams Gallery; performances by Cumberland University's Phoenix Players, the Cumberland Chorale, Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble; educational resources related to the arts for use in Cumberland University's Doris and Harry Vise Library; the annual Watertown Jazz Festival; the annual Nashville Symphony Orchestra Lebanon Community Concert and many, many more!
