All Cumberland University students are encouraged to participate in Performing Arts activities. Scholarships are available for students, regardless of major, with abilities in Instrumental or Vocal/Choral Music, Theatre, Dance, or Visual Art.
Phoenix Players (theatre) - The Phoenix Players present one performance each semester. Last year's presentations included Shakespeare's

Dance - The Cumberland University student may select individual dance courses, pursue a Dance minor or major in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Dance. Various dance styles and techniques are included in the Emphasis or minor. Outstanding students are selected to participate in the Phoenix Dancers.
Art - Cumberland University students are encouraged to take individual art courses or pursue an Art minor or a major in Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Art. Various visual art media, techniques and styles are included in the curriculum, and a student art show is one of the many art displays in the Adams Gallery of the Fine Arts Center.
