School of Music and the Arts - Art, Dance and Theatre

The Fine Arts Department of Cumberland University offers a Fine Arts major in the Division of Arts and Humanities. The four Fine Arts components are Art, Dance, Music (Instrumental and Vocal) and Theatre. Students will experience a core curriculum including instruction in all four disciplines, then concentrate study in one or more of the Fine Arts areas.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in Fine Arts provides students with a means to develop their technical and creative potential, while learning to express themselves as diverse and informed artists. The program's theoretical and practical approach within a liberal arts curriculum strives to stimulate the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth of students preparing for professional careers.
