The Bachelor of Arts in English consists of 128 semester hours:
  • 51 hours from the GEC
  • 36 hours of English core requirements
  • 41 hours of general electives
Students who plan to seek teacher licensure should consult with their English advisor and with a representative from the Teacher Education Program to ensure that all requirements are being met.

Internships for English majors are available at publishing houses, newspapers, and related businesses. Interested students should speak early to their English faculty advisor and to Dr. William McKee, University Coordinator for the Internship/Practicum program.
