Student Government President: AC Agee is a junior at Cumberland University who is double majoring in Criminal Justice and English. Ms. Agee is a member of the Women's Golf team at Cumberland; she was selected as the NAIA TranSouth Conference Player of the Week on two separate occasions during her Fall 2010 semester and placed second in the TransSouth Conference tournament in the Spring 2011 semester. While at Cumberland University, she has earned the honor of being placed on the Dean's List every semester she has been enrolled and was honored by being chosen the social science student of the year her freshman year. She was also inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Sigma Tau Delta honor societies. She is actively involved in the Criminal Justice Club and the "Cumberland Chronicle" newspaper. Ms. Agee has also been involved in several theatrical productions at Cumberland. Recently, she was a co-student founder of Vertex, a weekly worship service for college aged adults at Crossroads Community Church.
Student Government Vice-President: Juan Torres is a senior at Cumberland University majoring in Humanities and Social Sciences with a double minor in Sociology and Criminal Justice. He is a member of the Cumberland Cycling Team and has represented the University at Collegiate Nationals in 2009. Juan is also the Vice-President of the International Students Organization and the Project Coordinator for CU Ride for Reading, a non-profit organization responsible for enhancing literacy in the county. Juan was the head delegate for Cumberland at the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislation 2010 General Assembly. Juan in also involved with the local Salvation Army and is a volunteer intern at Habitat for Humanity of Wilson County. Juan is also a member of FUTURO, a Tennessee Hispanic Chamber of Commerce program dedicated to the development of Hispanic college students. Juan wants to pursuit a career in both the non-profit management industry and the non-governmental organization management industry.
Student Government Secretary: Kristen McClanahan is a senior at Cumberland from Franklin, Ohio. She is working towards a double major in Elementary Education and Humanities and Social Sciences. She is also a freshman FOCUS mentor, a member of the women’s soccer team, and vice-president of Diva’s With a Purpose. Community service is her passion and once she graduates, she hopes to use her double major to help better the lives of underprivileged children.
Student Government Student Liaison: Katie Wolfe is a junior from Mount Juliet, TN. She is double majoring in English and Humanities and Social Sciences and expects to graduate in 2013. Katie is a FOCUS mentor for the 2011-2012 academic year. She is also the editor of the Cumberland Chronicle. Ms. Wolfe was inducted into the English Honors Society, Sigma Tau Delta, and is now Vice President. She is the Chairman of the newly re-activated Young Republicans at CU. Katie earned her place on the Dean's List last year and hopes to continue that honor. While she studies at Cumberland, Ms. Wolfe enjoys singing with the University Singers as well as the Cumberland Chorale.
Student Government Treasurer: Nicole Gardner is a senior from Springfield, TN. She is majoring in Biology with a minor in Business. She also serves as the Treasurer of Divas With A Purpose, the manager of CU’s Men’s Basketball team, and member of SAB. After graduation, she plans to attend Medical School in hopes of becoming a Pediatrician.
