The staff of Cumberland University is concerned about the welfare of our students and works to ensure that all students make positive decisions regarding their physical and mental health. To that end, we are pleased to be able to offer the Marijuana Electronic Check-Up to Go as a year-round service to those students who would like to assess their current level of marijuana use online.
Marijuana Electronic Check-Up to Go is an interactive web assessment tool that allows students to enter information about their marijuana use patterns and receive feedback about their use. The assessment takes about 6-7 minutes to complete, is self-guided, and requires no face-to-face contact time with a counselor or administrator. To take the survey, you will need a JavaScript enabled Internet browser.
This assessment is confidential. The computer records your scores but does NOT record your name or other identifying information. When you access the Marijuana Electronic Check-Up to Go, you are prompted to enter information about yourself. In addition to demographic information, it will ask you to enter information about your marijuana use habits.
After all information has been entered, you submit the form. The information you entered is then validated and processed. The Marijuana Electronic Check-Up to Go calculates a number of variables and compares your responses to national college norms. At the end of the screening, your personalized feedback is displayed in an easy-to-read format. If you would like, you may print your results and take them to the CU Counseling Center or a healthcare provider in your community for further evaluation.
This assessment is not a substitute for a complete evaluation nor can it give you a definitive diagnosis. If you have any questions about your results or would like a more thorough evaluation, call the Counseling Center at 547-1397. The survey is free and available to all CU students. This program is designed for individuals aged 18 and above.
