Information Technology (B.S.)

The B.S. degree in Information Technology at Cumberland University will provide students with a solid technical grounding in computer science and information technology, as well as education in the "soft" interpersonal skills of communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making that are vital to the IT industry. An Information Technologist determines user needs and then develops, manages, and supports technology based solutions. Acquisition of this degree will enable students to subsequently acquire new skills in the field of information technology.

Career paths could include internships, immediate job placement with the professional certifications available within the program or graduate school. Representative employers could be in any field including but not limited to business, industry, universities, and federal laboratories and research institutions.
