Cumberland University's Forensic and Criminal Justice Sciences (FCJS) program offers a new approach to the traditional educational setting. This three-track concentration offers students the opportunity to learn the basics of Forensics, Administration of Justice, or Corporate Security from individuals who are currently in the field, have retired from the field, or who have advanced education in the field. Our instructors combine theory with practical application to provide students with a "real world" view of how each track operates.
This program is designed for those individuals who are not able to or do not desire to engage in the traditional classroom experience. You must be 21 years of age or older to enroll. If you are currently employed or have recently been employed in the field of Criminal Justice, you may qualify for academic credit based upon your previous training and experience, which must be documented. After a thorough review by the University and the FCJS Department, credit may be awarded. In addition, applicants must have a minimum of 45 hours of academic credit or an Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
