Karen R. White


Joined Cumberland University: 2012



Karen White joined Cumberland University School of Nursing as Adjunct Faculty in the College of Nursing in August 2012. She is passionate about nursing and the important role nurses play in the health and wellbeing of their patients.

In addition to her position with Cumberland, Karen works as the Health Promotion Disease Prevention Program Manager for the Phoenix VA Healthcare System. She retired in 2009 as a decorated Major from the US Air Force Reserves. He military career spanned 22 years where she started as an Enlisted Laboratory Technician, and later received her Commission and served in both the Nurse Corp, as a Registered Nurse and finally in the Biomedical Corp as a Public Health Officer.

In her free time, Karen enjoys golding, rowing crew, and leading a non-profit philanthropic organization as their Board Chair.
