Joel Wade




Joel Wade joined Cumberland University Online and Professional Studies, Department of Criminal Justice as an Adjunct Instructor in August 2013. He enjoys challenging students to constantly think outside of the box when Technology and Criminal Justice combine.

Along with his duties at Cumberland, Mr. Wade serves our state as a Special Agent, Criminal Investigator assigned to the Technical Services Unit. Special Agent Wade is assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. His current research is focused in the arena of Mobile Device Forensics, and the social engineering trends used to extract data from the devices.

In his free time, Joel enjoys hanging out with family, being in the outdoors, hiking, camping, kayaking, mountain biking, and going to church.
